Cooling Tunnel

Cooling tunnels are hollow structures where products are moved on conveyors into a cooling space. Depending on the food product, water or gas can be used as a coolant and may be sprayed over the product. This equipment uses processes like convection, conduction and radiation cooling to provide and control the temperature of the product. Cooling tunnels are used in many types of food processing facilities for vegetable, fruit, snack food, baked goods and other applications.
